Bath And Body Massage Oil

Many different types of bath and body massage oils are available. There are single massage oils such as avocado oil and sweet almond oil or blended massage oils that contain a mixture of several oils. Note that some bath and body massage oils can cause allergic reactions, irritate skin or feel greasy.

So, in order to help you choose a great massage oil, here are some  recommendations :
-   sweet almond oil - among massage therapists this oil is one of the most popular. Has a pale yellow color because it is extracted from almonds. It has a reasonable price and doesn’t irritate skin unless you are nut allergic.

-  Apricot kernel oil – it resembles almond oil but it has a higher price. Has a longer shelf life than other oils due to the vitamin E.
- Jojoba oil – as the name implies, this oil is extracted from the jojoba plant and is in fact a wax. It has antibacterial properties and it’s great for people that have acne on their backs .
-  Fractionated coconut oil – although coconut oil is indeed a white, thick solid oil, fractionated coconut oil is liquid, non-greasy, light oil. It is named this way because it has only a part of the whole oil. Only the medium-chain triglycerides had been kept while removing  the long-chain triglycerides . This oil is cheaper than other oils but the top feature is that it doesn’t stain sheets.
-  Sunflower oil – is not a greasy oil . Is rich in stearic acid, palmitic acid and  the essential fatty acid linoleic acid due to the fact that is extracted from sunflower seeds. This oils expiries rapidly so buy it in small quantities. Some people are allergic to the family of sunflower plant.
-  Avocado oil – is squeezed from the avocado fruit. It is mixed with other oils because is a heavy oil. Is not recommended for the ones that are sensitive to latex.
-  Cocoa butter – has the aroma of chocolate. It must be blended with orher oils because it is solid.
-  Grapeseed oil – without being greasy it has a silky, smooth texture. The bad part is that the oil is not extracted by pressing the seeds, an solvent is actually used and because of this fact it is considered an inferior oil.
-  Kukui nut oil – it can be used on sun-damage skin or even oily skin.
-  Olive oil – we do not only eat olive oil, we can even use it for massage. Because it is very greasy it is not used on its own.
-  Sesame oil – is used for detoxifying and nourishing. Helps excessive dryness, bloating, constipation, poor circulation and anxiety.

-  Shea butter – is native from Africa and resembles cocoa butter.
-  Wheat germ oil – it is rich in vitamin E and must be blended with other oils.
- Angelica root oil – has an earthy- musky- herbaceous aroma. It is a soothing oil for stress and fatigue. It is recommended for winter time. Also helps female problems and is said to be an aid for fertility. Lotions and formulated massage gels are also, often used by massage therapists.

You have a comment saying that Kukui Oil is made from Kukui seeds and that a solvent is used. Not true, at least in our case. Oils of Aloha was the original producer and we use no solvents.

Well, I think that all body oil feels greasy or else they wouldn’t be called oil now would they? Anyway, oil is great for your skin, regardless of whether it is avocado or olive oil or any other plant or fruit. The important thing is that these body oils will hydrate your skin and leave you feeling amazing. I recommend you so to a massage salon and see the oils they use there. Besides, you can get massaged by a professional and you will see that it’s a great feeling. Very relaxing and good for your health, especially if you spend hours bet over a desk or computer in an improper position which is bad for you back and shoulders.
