Bathtub Walls

Anything bonded to the surface, towel hangers or soap trays,  can be removed with a chisel or a hammer. For 6 hours you have to let the tub wall panel to adjust to the temperature of the room. They will not fit correctly if you bring them in cold because they will expand. You have to work on a smooth surface. The wall surface must be clean and dry. Measure for faucet and spout locations and use as a template, the box from the backing .

Cut just once bur measure twice! The holes for the piles need to be bigger than the pipes. A trial hanging is to be done after the cuts. If the walls are out of plumb or the tub has settled, you may need to trim the lower edge. After you find the right location press the panel with your hands, do not use tools of any kind. Leave it like this for 24 hours. Now is the caulking turn to be applied. According to the directions, allow the caulking to dry .

This improvement project is not so difficult. You will enjoy your space more with a new look. Since it doesn't have seams, prevents many of the leaks you find with fibreglass and ceramic. Allows easy movement through doors because the unit folds at the corners. It is a good idea to ask for someone to help you with this project and it will be ready in about a day. When you remove the old tub surround be prepared for unexpected wall damage. A bathtub wall can look amazing and change the entire room for the better. It is easy to maintain and clean.
